More information about Purchasing and Relocating Process Plants
At Phoenix Equipment, we are committed to make your plant relocation project a success. We have the in-house knowledge and experience to assist you throughout the process of buying and relocating a process plant. We can coordinate and introduce you to specific technical consultants, as well as arrange or manage the match-marking, dismantlement, refurbishment, crating, export, and shipping process. If we do not have a plant or process immediately available, we have an extensive customer base and developed resources throughout the world to help you find the right complete chemical, petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, power generation, refinery and other process related plants.
Used plants can be transferred to another part of the world and reassembled quicker and less costly than building a new plant. Ultimately, a successful relocation project can provide the following benefits:
- The total project cost can be much less than ½ the cost of building a new plant;
- An existing plant does not require as much engineering work, therefore, even with the time required to perform refurbishment the total project time line can be significantly reduced;
- If experienced consultants and contractors are involved, the risks associated with relocating an existing plant can be mitigated;
- Lastly, most of the basic assumptions and equipment in chemical and other process plants have not drastically changed over the last few decades, which means that with relatively minor re-engineering, upgrades and refurbishment, plants can have significantly longer useful lives.
