Unused ChemPro Methanol Recovery Unit
Unused Methanol Recovery Unit, skid-mounted distillation system designed for biodiesel plant application to separate methanol and glycerin. Designed and built by ChemPro Group. The process incorporates feed preheating, two-stage vacuum flashing, methanol distillation, condensation/reflux, bottoms cooling, and associated utility systems. Includes a 50-ft-tall main methanol column rated for 50 psi/FV at 300°F, with a 6,180-gallon capacity. Constructed of 304L stainless steel. Major equipment includes (3) H-309CP A/B/C feed/bottoms interchangers, (2) T-311CP A/B flash tanks, H-310CP vaporizer heater, H-337CP flash bottoms cooler, C-328CP dry methanol column, H-330CP reboiler, H-314CP overhead condenser, T-315CP reflux tank, H-325CP vent condenser, H-331CP bottoms cooler, feed/flash/reflux/bottoms pumps, vacuum pump, condensate return pump, cooling water pumps, and two-cell cooling tower. Skid dimensions: 79' tall x 15' wide x 10'–11' long. Approximate skid weight: 100,000 lbs. All system built in 2015.
