Plant Description
Phoenix Equipment Corporation has this used Kerosene treatment unit immediately available.
The unit is to treat the sour kerosene stream that is produced from the distillation process in a petroluem refinery. The process catalytically converts mercaptan sulphurs within the kerosene to produce a “sweet kerosene”.
The plant is now used to treat raw kerosene from the crude unit to convert it to Jet A1 Kerosene specification to allow it to be sold as aviation fuel.
Major Equipment
The plant consists of a caustic prewash vessel, a sand filter, a reactor, a caustic settling vessel then another sand filter.
