Air flows from the burner into the drying chamber at a point mid way up the cone bottom, directed upwards through an internal pipe to a point just under the atomizer wheel in the top head where it is radially dispersed via a louvered orifice. Air and dry dust exits the dryer via a pipe located 180° from the air inlet, mid way up the cone bottom, and is connected to the cyclone inlet. The air is separated and exhausts from the top of the cyclone into the inlet of the exhaust blower mounted on top of the dryer and then exhausts to the atmosphere.
