IN MAY OF 2010 AS A TWO EFFECT, RISING FILM, STEAM HEATED PLATE EVAPORATOR SYSTEM RUNNING IN A FORWARD FLOW ARRANGEMENT. CURRENTLY STORED INDOORS. ORIGINAL DESIGN FOR EVAPORATING SUGAR TO AN EVAPORATION CAPACITY OF 3,087 PPH. PRODUCT IS PREHEATED VIA TWO PLATE PREHEATERS TO BOILING TEMPERATURE. THE PRODUCT IS THEN EVAPORATED TO A FINAL CONCENTRATION OF 77% DISSOLVED SOLIDS VIA THE TWO EFFECTS FROM AN INITIAL CONCENTRATION OF 67.5% DS. THE PLATE EVAPORATOR SKID HOLDS THE PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS AND VERTICAL CENTRIFUGAL VAPOR SEPARATORS. IN THE EVAPORATION PROCESS, CONDENSATE GENERATED IS COLLECTED, USED FOR PREHEATING, THEN PUMPED OUT OF THE SYSTEM. THE UNIT INCLUDES A SURFACE CONDENSER AND A LIQUID RING VACUUM PUMP TO REMOVE THE NON-CONDENSATE GASES. BASE DIMENSIONS (ASSEMBLED/CONNECTED SKIDS): 14'-11 1/2" WIDE X 26'-6" LONG AND AN OVERALL HEIGHT OF 15'-9". BASE IS STAINLESS STEEL FABRICATION. CONTACT PARTS ARE STAINLESS STEEL. SYSTEM IS UNUSED.
