This hydrochloric acid (HCl) reactor is a part of a caustic soda plant. The reactor has never been used. The reactor includes HCl burner and absorber. the burner is at the top and the absorber tubes or blocks are right below the burning chamber (the burner and the absorber are integrated in the same column). Then, the acid come from the bottom of the equipment and the gas flow goes to an scrubber where the tail gases are dissolved in water. The HCl reactor can produce 575 kg/hr (HCl 33%) for the caustic soda plant, which has capacity of 78 tons per day of 32% caustic soda (sodium hydroxide NaOH) solution.
